Early Childhood Speaker Series with Dr. Bruce Perry

Dr. Bruce Perry is the 2019 Featured Speaker at the Second Annual Early Childhood Speaker Series sponsored by The Graduate Center for the Study of Early Learning at the University of Mississippi.

 Dr. Perry is currently the Senior Fellow of the Child Trauma Academy in Houston, Texas and an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He is an internationally recognized child authority on children in crisis. An expert in how trauma affects brain development, he will address how chronic poverty is a traumatic condition that impacts brain development.

Targeted Audience:  General Education and Special Education Pre-K and Kindergarten Teachers in public schools, Administrators of Pre-K and Kindergarten programs, Early Learning Collaborative Staff, Head Start, child care, and Part C staff
