Supporting Science Instruction in the K-12 Classroom

Supporting Science Instruction in the K-12 Classroom

In this two day session, principals consider how to best support teachers in teaching science and aligning their curriculum with the new Mississippi standards. Participants will examine what Multidimensional Science Education means and how teachers should be implementing it in the classroom. Following a science experience, participants will actively learn about and consider the research on learning and teaching science. We will also examine various protocols to evaluate science in the classroom. Armed with these experiences and knowledge, participants will be prepared to think about how best to support teachers in the classroom.
