Writing in the CCRS Classroom

This session is designed for educators to develop an understanding of the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards for writing.  Participants will engage in hands-on activities including creating “on-demand” writing prompts through the use of text-dependent questions, as well as learning to flip reading standards into  writing prompts.  Participants will also learn strategies to aid them in teaching the writing process and implementing writing instruction in the classroom.
