Building Cultural Competency to Reach ALL Mississippi Students
MS's demographics are changing as the state continues to serve an increasing number of English Learner students. The day-long professional development will give participants an opportunity to assess their own cultural proficiency and implicit bias. Cultural competency strategies that teachers can use in the classroom will be provided, with a focus on effectively serving Hispanic, Arabic, and African-American male populations.
