Administrators, teachers, related service providers and others have specific roles and responsibilities in carrying out recent literacy initiatives that promote student success. Participants will learn the characteristics of various learning deficits that affect a student's ability to read and classroom strategies to address these deficits. Teams will receive hands-on practice in planning for specially-designed instruction and/or accommodations.
There are no limitations on the number of participants per district. Registration is first-come-first -served basis.

|Miss. Const. Art. 4, Section 66||Eligible attendees for this training includes teachers, counselors, and administrators who are employed by a school district or MDE. Unless specifically noted otherwise, external contractors or vendors may not attend. This event is being funded with state and/or federal funds and is being provided for employees of school districts, employees of the Mississippi Department of Education and Department contractors. Miss. Const. Art. 4, Section 66 prohibits governing authorities from making donations. According to the Mississippi Attorney General, once the federal funds are turned over to the state, the rules for the expenditure of state funds apply. Based on the Mississippi law, this event is not being provided for third party vendors or external providers.|
