Finish Strong

The North MS Education Consortium is excited to offer this one-day conference for novice teachers (teaching 5 years or less). This conference will add motivation and inspiration to finish out the school year strong by focusing on:

The Impact of a Teacher

Keynote Speaker: Maggie Wade

Clear Your Mind of Can't

Don’t fall into the trap of thinking, “My students can’t do that!” In this session, participants will clear their minds of CAN’T and practice adaptive strategies to discover what their students CAN do with the right support.

Make It Stick!

Do your students tend to forget the course material just weeks, days, or even hours from when you taught it? Dive into the science of learning and discover simple, low-prep strategies for helping students truly learn and remember all the wonderful information you have been teaching!

Building and Repairing Relationships

Improving students' relationships with teachers has important, positive and long-lasting implications for both students' academic and social development. The student is likely to trust his/her teacher more, show more engagement in learning, behave better in class and achieve at higher levels academically. In addition, positive relationships with other teachers, staff, administration, parents and community can make difference in the education of children.

Stress Management

Take away my stress and the stress of my students!
