The Mississippi Literacy Association (MLA) in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Education: Office of Elementary Education and Reading cordially invite you to the 52nd Annual Mississippi Literacy Association Conference: No Place Like Home This conference will focus on promoting literacy instruction for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. It will take place November 29-December 1, 2023 at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi. 

As we continue the momentum of improving literacy and learning outcomes for ALL students, sessions will focus on Early Literacy (kindergarten through grade 3), Adolescent Literacy (grades 4 through 8), and other (SEL, Classroom Management, etc.). Some of our keynote speakers and featured presenters include:

·       Steve Gilliand, Motivational Speaker

·       Dr. Kymyona Burk, Senior Policy Fellow, ExcelinED

Laurie Lee, Florida Center for Reading Research

***Participants must attend all three days in order to received CEUs, SEMIs, or OSLs

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to transfer your registration to a colleague, our refund policy is as follows:

• Cancel between July 1- September 1, 2023 and receive a refund of your registration amount less 10% cancellation fee
• Cancel between September 2-November 27, 2023 and receive a 50% refund of your registration amount.
• Cancel between on or after November 27 cancellation refund will not be given
