2526 LSDA: Understanding How the Selection of High-Quality Instructional Materials Positively Impacts Student Achievement
Understanding How the Selection of High-Quality Instructional Materials Positively Impacts Student Achievement, presented by Dr. Kristi Livingston
Research denotes inconsistent access to high-quality, aligned instructional materials negatively impacts student learning in schools across our country. Because of this, it is imperative that school leaders plan diligently before making curriculum choices. Informed decision-making in relation to instructional materials can readily enhance instruction and assist with closing achievement gaps. This module will place focus on how to determine if instructional materials are considered high quality, if those materials are a correct fit for a leader’s particular school community, and how to support teachers in fully implementing high-quality materials into daily instruction.
