Professional Growth System Training for Teachers
The Mississippi Educator Professional Growth System (PGS) is designed to improve student achievement by providing teachers and administrators with high-quality feedback to inform continuous improvement.  Teachers will complete an in-depth training on the Teacher Growth Rubric.  The goals of this training are as follows:

1. Introduce teachers to the PGS TGR (Teacher Growth Rubric) goals and purpose.
2. Understand teacher and admin responsibilities
3. Explore concepts of highly effective instruction as it relates to the TGR
4. Understand the TGR design and PGS process 
5. Unpack evidence for the TGR Standards and indicators for purposeful and intentional planning.
6. Observe the PGS process (Pre, Obs, Post) observations and feedback
7. Understand classroom culture in connection with the TGR
8. Complete a TGR and content standard with purposeful planning (linking activity)
9. Explore resource availability
