LSDA: Ensuring Professionalism is the Foundation of a Positive School
Ensuring Professionalism is the Foundation of a Positive School Culture, presented by Dr. Susan McClelland
- September 10, 2024
School leaders have attempted to employ numerous activities over the past decade in an effort to establish a positive school culture. From motivating students via rewards-based behavior plans to providing teacher incentives, school/district leadership teams have worked diligently to create a positive environment for students, staff, and community, but what happens when something seemingly negative occurs? An employee dismissal? Student misbehavior? A not so kind news story about the school? Does the positive culture quickly erode? This module will place focus on ensuring professionalism is at the core of a school’s culture, how this leads to a positive school culture, and striking a consistent balance between managing, leading and motivating.
