The Mississippi Literacy Association, in collaboration with the Mississippi Department of Education Office of Curriculum and Instruction, Division of Literacy, invites you to attend the 54th Annual Mississippi Literacy Association Conference: Turn the Page; Transforming Literacy One Page at a TimeThis year’s conference will be held December 2nd through December 4th, 2026, at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi. The event will focus on strengthening literacy instruction for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.As we continue to build momentum in improving literacy and learning outcomes for all students, sessions will highlight early literacy for kindergarten through 3rd grade, adolescent literacy for grade 4th-8th, and additional topics related to teaching and learning. These topics include support for English language learners, multi-tiered systems of support, classroom management, and special education. This conference is ideal for classroom teachers, academic coaches, and instructional leaders.Keynote Speakers Include:
- Melissa Loftus & Lori Sappington are teachers-turned-authors and podcasters on a mission to make literacy learning make sense. What started as a spontaneous podcast idea in 2019 quickly became a go-to space for bridging the gap between research and real classrooms with the Melissa and Lori Love Literacy podcast.
- Hilderbrand Pelzer III is an award-winning educator, author, and keynote speaker
- Justin "Mr. Fascinate" Shaifer is an award-winning STEM thought leader, enterprise AI trainer, and keynote speaker

Hotel Reservations:
Access to reserve blocked rooms will close when all blocked rooms are taken or October 30, whichever comes first.
***Participants must attend all three days in order to received CEUs, SEMIs, or OSLsCancellation Policy
If you are unable to transfer your registration to a colleague, our refund policy is as follows:
- Cancel between August 1- September 1, 2025 and receive a refund of your registration amount less 10% cancellation fee.
- Cancel between September 2-November 26, 2025 and receive a 50% refund of your registration amount.
- Cancel between on or after December 2nd cancellation refund will not be given.
Please remember that transferring your registration does not automatically transfer your hotel arrangements. You are responsible for your own hotel reservation.
