Strengthening Writing

In the morning session, participants will enhance their instructional impact focused on the effective use of the MAAP writing rubric across all grade levels.  Learn the purpose of the rubric, explore its key domains, and dive into the different modes of writing- narrative, informational, and argumenative-while gaining practical  strategies for consistent annotation and feedback.  By adopting a common language of writing instruction, educators will build alignment and clarity that supports student growth schoolwide.

In the afternoon session, attendees will participate in breakout sessions aligned with their adopted HQIM to focus on purposeful writing.
